The Mailchimp Integration allows you to automatically send newly collected fan emails from your artist workspace directly into your Mailchimp audiences - so you can instantly activate them in your marketing flows.
This makes it easy to operationalise your first-party data and start engaging fans without any manual work.
The integration is available in our artist workspaces, and can quickly be configured.
What does the Mailchimp integration do?
Once connected, Linkfire will automatically sync new fan signups (emails collected through your links and landing pages) to a selected Mailchimp audience.
This enables you to:
- Trigger automated email journeys in Mailchimp
- Grow your mailing list in real time
- Activate fans immediately after signup
Important:
- This integration is only available while using an artist workspace.
- Only newly collected emails will be synced. Existing emails are not backfilled.

What data is synced?
When available, Linkfire syncs the following data to your selected Mailchimp audience:
- Fan name
- Based on pre-save data from DSPs, this may be the fan’s first name or username, depending on the platform
- Link ID and Link URL
- Board ID and Board title
- Link type
- Media service name
- Included when the email signup happens after a pre-save action
- Country (ISO code)
Managing your integration
Change your Mailchimp list
You can update where fan emails are sent at any time:
- Go to Fan Integrations
- Expand the Mailchimp integration
- Select a new list from the dropdown
- Click Save
Remove the integration
To disconnect Mailchimp:
- Expand the Mailchimp integration
- Click Remove Integration
Understanding connection status
- Connected → Integration is active and syncing new emails
- Not Connected → Setup is incomplete (e.g. no list selected or authorization missing)
You may see a warning if:
“You have authorized Mailchimp but haven't chosen a list yet.”
In this case, simply select a list and click Save.
How it appears in Mailchimp
Each Linkfire workspace creates a separate app connection inside Mailchimp.
This means:
- You may see multiple Linkfire apps if managing multiple artists/workspaces
- Each workspace connects independently
If a workspace is disconnected or removed, the integration status in Linkfire will update accordingly.
Things to keep in mind
- Only fans who explicitly opt in to marketing are synced
- Linkfire does not backfill historical data
- You are responsible for complying with privacy and data regulations when using fan data
