Workspaces let you manage artist campaigns with tailored settings, pre-save capabilities, and artist-level analytics. This article walks you through the full setup—from selecting your artist to importing legacy links.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Enter the Workspace creation flow
Start by clicking ‘Create Workspace’ from the left hand menu of an existing board, or from your Linkfire Home page.
Step 2: Choose a Parent Board
Next, confirm which board should act as the Parent for this Workspace. If you started the flow from an existing board, this will be shown as the default, but you can change this if needed.
Remember: Settings inherited from the parent board will be locked in the Workspace.
Board Services will be cloned (not locked) and can be freely modified later.
Click Next to proceed.
Step 3: Select the Artist
You’ll see a screen asking you to select an artist:
- Use the dropdown list or paste a Spotify or Apple Music artist profile URL.
- Once selected, click Continue (we will auto-fetch the artist’s profile name, image, and DSP links to pre-fill your workspace details)
- If if you’re creating a Workspace for an artist that hasn’t released music yet, you can continue without selecting an artist.
Step 4: Review Artist Info
On the next screen, you can review:
- Artist name
- Artist image (edit or delete if needed)
-
Pre-filled streaming service profiles (Apple, Spotify, Amazon, etc.)
Pro tip: It’s possible that the wrong artist may have been matched for a specific DSP. Check that each profile URL is correct by clicking on the artist name for each DSP.
Click Continue when you're ready.
Step 5: Workspace Ready
After creation, you’ll land on a confirmation screen:
- It displays the artist name and image
- You’ll see two options:
- Migrate Links
- Go to Workspace
Click Migrate Links to move existing links into the new workspace.
Step 6: Migrate Links from Boards
You can now migrate any existing links tied to your artist:
- Select the board to search from.
- Use the search bar to find links by artist, title, or domain.
- Tick the checkboxes next to the links you want to migrate.
- Click Migrate.
All associated link data (e.g., analytics) will be retained and available in your Workspace Analytics dashboard.
Step 7: Done!
You’ll see a confirmation message that your links have been successfully migrated.
From here you can:
- Migrate more links (optional)
- Go to Workspace to start using the new tools and settings
What Gets Inherited?
When creating a Workspace, the following settings are inherited from the Parent Board:
| Inherited Setting | Behavior in Workspace |
|---|---|
| Channels | Locked; can’t be removed |
| User Permissions | Users with access to the board will have access to the workspace |
| Integrations | Locked and copied over |
| Board Services | Cloned (but not locked); can be customized in the workspace |
