How to customise the fan experience after a pre-save using Connect

The Connect section in Workspace settings lets you customise what fans see immediately after they pre-save a release. These fan-facing elements appear in a tray (we call it the Connect tray) that opens automatically after a successful pre-save.

This tray is designed to deepen fan engagement and support actions like follows, email opt-ins, and pre-save subscriptions.

The Connect tray only applies to pre-save links. For other link types (like bio or release links), components like email sign-up are still configured at the link level.

 

Setting up Connect blocks

You can customise the Connect tray by toggling on and configuring any of the available Connect blocks in your Workspace Settings → Post Pre-save Actions.

Here's what you can add:

Personal Message

Let your fans know you appreciate them — or nudge them to take another action.

You can:

  • Upload an image (JPG/PNG)
  • Or embed a YouTube video (we support both vertical YouTube videos and Shorts)
  • Optionally, add a short message to accompany the content

This block is ideal for thank-yous, behind-the-scenes teasers, or custom CTAs like "Join my mailing list" or "See you on tour".

Pre-Save Subscriptions

This invites fans to subscribe to future releases from the artist, so they only need to opt in once.

When enabled:

  • The fan is subscribed and future releases will automatically be added to their library.

  • The fan will also receive an email notification when new releases go live — but only if Release Delivery Notifications are also turned on under:

    Workspace Settings → Connect → Fan Notifications → Pre-save Delivery.

Email Sign-Up

Use this block to collect email addresses from fans for marketing or newsletter purposes.

You can:

  • Customise the header and subtext to make your ask stand out.
  • Export collected emails from Workspace analytics or directly from an individual link card in your Link Feed.

Follow Block

Encourage fans to follow your artist profile (or soon, playlist) right after pre-saving — rather than waiting for release day.

To enable this:

  • First, make sure you’ve added your DSP profile URLs under Workspace Settings → Artist Profile
  • You can override the default CTA text in the block fields
  • When shown, fans will see a Follow button based on the DSP they used to pre-save — and will follow the artist immediately

Link Out

Send fans to any destination after they pre-save — such as:

  • A merch store
  • A tour page
  • A new content drop

Setup is simple:

  • Add a button label (e.g. “Shop now” or “See tour dates”)
  • Add a destination URL (must begin with https:// or http://)
  • When clicked, the button will open the link in a new tab

Where to set it up

All Connect blocks are managed per Workspace and apply across any pre-save links in that Workspace.

To get started:

  • Go to Workspace Settings → Post Pre-save Actions
  • Toggle on the blocks you want to show
  • Fill out the configuration fields
  • Hit Save
