To start collecting Meta (Facebook) advertising data, including re-marketing and conversion insights, you can integrate both the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (CAPI) with your Linkfire board.
This integration enables you to:
- Retarget fans who interact with your smart links.
- Track conversion events directly in Meta Business Manager.
- Ensure more accurate and reliable reporting — even when browsers restrict third-party cookies.
Together, the Meta Pixel (browser-side tracking) and CAPI (server-side tracking) provide the most complete picture of your audience’s journey.
What Are the Meta Pixel and Conversions API?
Meta Pixel (Browser-side Tracking):
A piece of tracking code that runs in your visitor’s browser and collects data about user actions on your Linkfire smart links.
It helps measure the effectiveness of your Facebook and Instagram campaigns by sending events such as page views and link clicks directly from the user’s browser to Meta.
Meta Conversions API (CAPI – Server-side Tracking):
A more robust connection between Linkfire and Meta that sends event data server-to-server — bypassing browser limitations and ensuring consistent conversion tracking by no relying on 3rd party cookies.
By combining both, you can optimize your campaigns with more accurate performance insights and better retargeting capabilities.
